"The long and winding road that leads to your door..."

No matter why a woman comes to see me, whether she is navigating infertility, pregnancy after loss, birth trauma, miscarriage, or simply feeling disconnected from herself, we almost always find ourselves travelling back along the long and winding road that brought her here.
Yesterday, I was working with a beautiful woman who was carrying fear after experiencing a miscarriage. It is such a natural fear, and yet it isn't something you want your body and heart to keep holding as you nurture new life.
I am only too familiar with this, having gone through this myself.
As we gently explored her story, she asked me what led me to this work.
I smiled and reached for something I have kept for over 25 years: a university paper I wrote about the Heroine's Journey, focusing on the Greek myth of Psyche & Amour.
Looking back, I realise this fascination has always been part of me.
I've always been drawn to the journeys women take. Not because they are easy, but because they transform us.

The Story of Psyche
Psyche was a mortal woman whose beauty stirred jealousy in Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Through a twist of fate, Psyche fell deeply in love with Eros (Cupid), but their happiness was interrupted by fear, doubt, loss and impossible challenges.
Separated from the one she loved, Psyche was given a series of seemingly impossible tasks. She had to sort countless seeds, gather golden fleece, journey into the underworld, and face her deepest fears. With courage, humility, perseverance and help that appeared when she needed it most, she completed each task.
Only after walking this difficult path was Psyche reunited with Eros. She emerged transformed, becoming immortal.
It isn't simply a love story.
It is a story of healing, resilience, trust and becoming.
It is the story of a woman who finds herself through the trials she never asked for.

Every Woman Has Her Own Journey
When I sit with a woman in my healing sessions, I don't see a diagnosis.
I see a journey.
A woman whose path may have included infertility, pregnancy loss, traumatic birth, difficult motherhood, grief, disappointment or years of carrying emotions that no longer belong in the present.
These experiences can leave imprints in our nervous system, our emotions and our beliefs. They can quietly influence how we feel about ourselves, our bodies, our relationships and our future.
My work is about gently helping women release those imprints. Release the triggers.
Not by forcing them to relive the past.
Not by "fixing" them.
But by creating a safe space where the body and mind can let go of what they have been holding for far too long.
Because when we are no longer carrying yesterday's fear, we create more space for today's life.

Coming Back to Yourself
What I do is helping women come back into alignment with their own path, to reconnect with who they were before fear took over, to release trauma with gentleness and compassion, to trust themselves again.
To move forward with more peace, confidence and hope.
Healing isn't about erasing what has happened.
It's about allowing the past to stay in the past, so it no longer determines your future.

I Am Here for the Journey
(And yes I will always pull some cards!)
The road is rarely straight.
Sometimes it is painful.
Sometimes it feels impossibly long.
But every step teaches us something about ourselves.
And if we allow ourselves to heal, that long and winding road doesn't simply take us away from pain.
It leads us home.
And wherever you are on your journey, I am here to walk alongside you.
With love,
Ruth
